Dawn Bye

I grew up on Flint’s north side in a large Catholic family as one of nine children. I attended Catholic schools from first grade through high school, and my Catholic faith has remained a strong and guiding presence throughout my life. I am deeply interested in Catholic Charities because of its commitment to serving individuals and families with dignity, compassion, and respect. I am motivated by the opportunity to contribute to positive and lasting change in our community and to support an organization that lives out Gospel values through meaningful action. . I believe deeply in the dignity of every person and the call to serve those in need, advocate for justice, and strengthen our community. I support Catholic Charities’ commitment to providing housing assistance, food security, and supportive services to individuals and families—regardless of faith or background—while remaining rooted in Gospel values that promote hope, dignity, and self-sufficiency. I am most excited about learning how I can best contribute my skills, experience, and perspective to support the mission of Catholic Charities. I look forward to working alongside fellow board members to strengthen programs, expand impact, and serve our community in meaningful ways.

Bill Harris

For nearly 50 years, Bill Harris has been a familiar face in the news and in the community, and now he joins us on the Board of Directors at Catholic Charities. Born in Holyoke, Massachusetts, Bill got his first broadcasting job with a radio station in Holyoke at 16 years old. His career in the news-world flourished from there. Bill’s career at ABC 12 was very long and successful, earning him nine Emmy Awards and numerous Emmy nominations. When asked about “What interests you the most about Catholic Charities?” He responded “The unrelenting passion and dedication that staff and volunteers have for helping those in need of the services Catholic Charities provides.”

Stacey Doyle

I have been privileged to serve the community of Genesee County for more than two decades, primarily within the nonprofit sector, with an additional three-year period working in commercial real estate. I continue to maintain my real estate license and enjoy partnering with Tremaine Real Estate in my spare time to assist with residential sales. In August 2017, I began my current position as Executive Director of the Genesee County Free Medical Clinic, where I continue to be blessed by the opportunity to support underserved residents through compassionate, community-based health care. Beyond my professional roles, I remain deeply engaged in the broader community. My involvement includes Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, the Rotary Club of Flint, Rotary Club of Fenton, the Zonta Club of Flint, the 20th Century Club, and service on several nonprofit boards. These experiences have allowed me to build strong relationships and remain actively connected to community needs. What inspires me most about Catholic Charities of Shiawassee and Genesee Counties is its comprehensive mission—to serve the underserved, strengthen families, and address human needs in both counties while steadfastly living out the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The organization’s reach, compassion, and faith-driven approach resonate deeply with my personal and professional call to service. First and foremost, I am a child of God, committed to serving others in His name. Professionally, I bring deep community connections, experience leading multiple successful fundraising and capital campaigns, and ongoing grant-writing and development expertise. Additionally, my background in both commercial and residential real estate allows me to contribute meaningfully to CCSGC’s facilities, operations, and strategic planning.

As I begin my tenure on the Board, I hope to build meaningful synergy between the work of the Genesee County Free Medical Clinic and the Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy embodied by Catholic Charities. My husband and I look forward to giving generously of our time, talents, and hearts in service to our Lord. As John Piper expressed so powerfully in his “Seashells Sermon,” I am committed to spending this season of my career and retirement deepening my service to God—not collecting seashells.

As long as I am able, my goal is to support Catholic Charities of Shiawassee and Genesee Counties in faithfully fulfilling its mission.
