Community Services
In an area that helped build America, hope is often in short supply. Jobs are scarce – violence, illiteracy, and crime are prevalent. Young people are being raised in an environment of poverty and despair. Anxiety, joblessness and poverty contribute to depression and domestic violence – these can destroy families. Clearly, help and hope are needed, now more than ever.
For many, Catholic Charities Community Services at the Center for Hope, North End Soup Kitchen, and in Owosso are the beginning point of a new path to recovery. We offer warm meals, a Warming Center, personal and household goods; we also provide access to counseling, medical and mental health services, substance use treatment and recovery, and referrals-all helping our guests take that next step from survival to thriving independence.
