As we close out the end of another year of amazing work, volunteerism, and selfless generosity, all we can say is that together we aren’t just providing help or a service, we are creating hope – a hope that will reshape our community and deeply impact the lives everyone we are encountering for years to come.
Nick Woughter, a former unhoused combat veteran, is just one of the thousands of people we have encountered this year whose life altered its course by just one simple act of kindness and connection by our amazing staff. Nick was honorably discharged from the military yet unable to find employment and going between living in a vehicle and in the woods.
