Team HOPE Wins Gold at United Way Campaign
Kick-Off!

The grueling rehearsals and costume preparations paid off for Team HOPE on Thursday, September 23, when the team of fearless cheerleaders won a stunning gold medal for Spirit at the United Way Campign Kick-Off event held at University Pavillion. "I couldn't be any prouder," stated president/CEO Vicky Schultz. "These ladies truly deserve gold medals for bravery. It is a testament to their commitment to this agency that they are up on stage at 8:00 a.m. wearing bells on their shoes."
Catholic Charities cheerleaders are: Tammy Chambers (Supervisor, Support Staff & Medical Records), Kay Kellogg (Administrative Assistant, Child Welfare), Debbie Summers ( Executive Admin. Assistant), and Pam Hosking (Marketing Specialist, Fund Development).
United Way is a significant supporter of Catholic Charities Counseling Programs, Kinship Caregivers, and North End Soup Kitchen Programs.
Good job, ladies!
Hail to the Champions!
Fans cheered from the stands as Catholic Charities’ Team HOPE led us to a victory at this year’s Soberfest softball tournament. Soberfest is a celebration held each year to recognize the many people in Genesee County who are in recovery from alcohol and substance use.
Catholic Charities faced stiff competition from 11 other teams, but in the end walked away with a beautiful trophy as well as bragging rights for another year. Congratulations!

Tammy Chambers and Michael Hunt, both of
Counseling Services, proudly display the team trophy.
